There was once a baby named Mira, and Mira wasn’t ordinary, she could sing! Everyday, when her parents left her to sleep, she would secretly go and sing her heart out! Mira sold out concerts with her opera singing, and nobody at home knew about her secrets.
Mira
I was peacefully resting in my bed, cooing and deciding what next to cry on, when I heard the door open. My parents were home, so I didn’t know who this could have been, and then I heard lots of chatting. Jeez! Do these people mind? Kinda interrupting my train of thought.
Obviously, I started crying. How do you expect me to handle this many tragedies? On my command, my mom comes in to start soothing me, but something is wrong. I look behind me and I see a completely new person! My tears come to a halt as a try to figurue out who this p6rson is. Mom laughs and says that this is my “cuz-in”. First, this isn’t a laughing matter, and second, never in my 5 months have I encountered such an exotic word. “Cuz-in”. “She’s so cute” the rando says. So boring, I’ve heard this a million times. This girl can’t even say something as rare as her name.
Once I’ve calmed down, my mom exits the room which leaves me and “Cuz-in” remaining. I coo at her, saying “Boring!” to her. It’s not like she’d understand anyway.
She gasps, “Don’t call me that!”.
“Wait a minute, did you just understand me?” I babbled.
“Yeah I did!” she declares.
“Whattttttt?!” I yammered.
I look at her. She looks at me. We have a glaring contest for while. Soon enough, I break the silence by asking her how her day was.
Sophie
Me and Mira have been talking for a while now, and she seems pretty interesting. I’m telling her the story of how I went on a plane to come her, you know, expanding her world by a tiny bit.
“So yeah, I basically came on a flying metal tube, 70,000 rattles up in the sky, no place to stretch or extend my legs for hours to see you”
“Woah, you have such cool stories!” Mira chirped.
“Thanks! Well, do you have any stories for me?”
Mira looked at her newfound feet for a second “Oh yes!! Do you know I sing opera for an audience?”
I laughed. “You? Opera? Where did you even learn that word? No way you’ve sung Opera”
Mira furrowed her barely grown brows “Yes way!”
“Then tell me,” I snorted. “how do you even get to the place to sing?”
“I have a cab that waits for me outside whenever I call it” Mira said
“And how do you even call it?” I said, still laughing.
Mira glared.
I glared back.
“Thats highly confidential” she said, changing the tone drastically.
“Woah ok,” I winced “no need to get defensive.”
“I suppose I can share it with you, it’s not like you have any friends you could blab to anyway,” Mira scoffed.
Do babies come out the womb this mean??
“Well, when you’re born there are these secret agents that do anything babies want-”
“Oh,” I interrupted “so like a rip off boss baby?”
“Do you really want to hear this or not”
“Ok, okay.”
“So, anybody older than 2 years old can’t see them, because uptill 2 you pretty much can’t do anything therefore I guess people decided we needed a little help. We have a little notifyer in our rattle, and we press a button when we need them.”
This is the craziest thing I’ve ever heard. I really think that she’s just playing with me.
Mira
I can tell Sophie thinks I’ve totally lost my mind. She’s giving me a wide-eyed, concerned look like the ones I see on adults when I cry. Puh-lease! Like my amazing operatic talent is just some fad I’d pull for a giggle.
“You don’t believe me, do you?” I babble, kicking my legs so violently it could be counted as a workout.
“Dude,” Sophie replied “You’re 5 months old and just discovered your feet. You expect me to believe that you are an opera singer, with an audience?
“FINE!” I scream. ‘I’ll show you, then will you believe me?”
I press a button on my rattle, and my agents come and carry me. Sophie’s eyes widen.
“What?? YOU’RE LITERALLY FLYING!!!! Sophia whisper–yelled, trying not to alert the adults.
I smirk winningly. Finally she believes me. I press the button on my rattle to make the agents go away.
“Yup, those were the secret agents picking me up” I say.
Suddenly, Sophie’s eyes went droopy, she got all floppy, and then she fell!
I know, lots of people do this when they see how amazing I am.
